Tim Iredale
Political Editor
BBC Yorkshire & Lincolnshire
Tim Iredale is the BBC Political Editor for Yorkshire and Lincolnshire. He covers the region which is home to some of our most familiar political heavyweights, including John Prescott, Alan Johnson and David Davis.
Tim is also a regular presenter of the Look North programme in Hull, and a contributor to The Politics Show on Sundays.
Prior to moving to the BBC in 2006, Tim was the Chief Political Correspondent for ITV Yorkshire
Tim says the scariest moment of his career was asking John Prescott about that famous punching incident in the 2001 general election. Tim says: "Mr Prescott took a deep breath and threw a punch at me. Luckily it was a joke, but had I not ducked he would have hit me and I could have been another victim of Prezza's left hook!"
