Ian Kerr

Ian established Reid Architecture in Scotland in 1989. Since then he has master-planned and consolidated growth of the practice, developing a commercial base with design at the core the of the strategy and philosophy. In 2007 Reid merged with 3D architects forming 3DReid with Ian assuming the role of Group Director.
As Group Director, his core roles are Board responsibility for Design, Technical and Sustainability along with business development, and determining practice directiion. Ian established a working relationship with Marks and Spencer in 1992. This relationship commits 100% availability to M&S with his role being both strategic and delivery based. Over the 15 year relationship he has worked on all aspects of their work from Development to remodel and Special Projects and continues to play a key role in helping them meet their Plan A, 100% carbon neutral, objectives, including the delivery of their first eco refurbishment at Bournemouth and first eco new-build in Pollok.
Ian has been Chairman of the British Council of Shopping Centres in Scotland since 2005.
