As Director of European Retail Research, Richard manages Mintel's renowned analysis of Europe's dynamic retail markets.  With a degree in mathematics and a first job in research at the Prudential, his passion for all things retail was ignited while working in stockbroking as a retail analyst.  After writing on the industry as both a journalist and analyst, Richard joined Mintel in 1999.  He can be regularly seen commentating on retail matters for the BBC and on financial television services such as Bloombergs and CNBC.
