Peter Bill

Peter Bill spent 21 years in the construction industry as a surveyor. He worked in the UK for Wimpey and in Africa for Anglo American. He became a journalist in 1983, joining Contract Journal as a reporter. After two years Peter joined Building magazine as Features Editor. He was promoted to deputy editor in 1987, executive editor in 1988, and Editor in 1990. He was also Editorial Director of the Builder Group. He spent in all 11 years at Building magazine.

In 1996 he left to work at Flemings, the merchant bank. Peter was responsible for the published output of over 100 analysts in the Western Hemisphere. After a year he had quite enough of that and returned to journalism as editorial director of Estates Gazette in October 1997. He demoted himself to editor in May 1998.

During Peter's time at Building the magazine won more publishing awards than any other UK consumer or business title including Periodical Publishers Association business magazine of the year.

He has won eight awards for his writing including the industry "Oscar the Periodical Publishers association business writer of the year prize. Most recently Peter was voted the International Building Press's Commercial Property Journalist of the Year.

Jonathan Fenton–Jones
Gazeley Global Procurement and Sustainability Director, Gazeley
Jonathan Fenton-Jones joined the company in 1999 and has worked on many industry-changing innovations including Gazeley’s G.Track (a 10 week new build delivery system) and EcoTemplate (the award winning sustainable development design concept).

An ardent environmentalist, Jonathan is passionate about converging business issues with environmental solutions. He heads Gazeley’s sustainable development team and is responsible for successfully integrating new commercially viable design technologies and materials with ‘green thinking’. He also oversees Gazeley’s ‘virtual team’ of contractors and suppliers.

Prior to joining Gazeley Jonathan worked for top architectural and design consultancies in the UK and USA. He studied Interior Design at Kingston University, graduating with a First Class Honours degree - winning the national gold medal for his degree project.

While running his own London-based design company Jonathan acted for an impressive client list including BMW, Honeywell, Boots, Fiat and Alfa Romeo. Major projects included the concept design for the Granada Studios Tour in Manchester (UK) and a seven year private commission to redevelop The Great House estate on the Caribbean island of Mustique.


Ken Hall
Managing Director, ProLogis Developments
As Managing Director of ProLogis, Ken Hall has overall responsibility for European contract procurement including project management and facilities design.  In addition he has responsibility for implementation of IT solutions and for setting the strategic direction for sustainable development in the European business.

Mr Hall joined ProLogis on the acquisition of Kingspark Developments in 1998 and has spent his career involved with international project delivery.


Witold M.Orlowski
Chief Economist Adviser, PricewaterhouseCoopers (Warsaw)
Macroeconomist, former chief economic advisor to the president of Poland.  Co-founder of NOBE (Independent Centre for Economic Studies), one of Poland’s leading economic think-tanks, Dean of the Warsaw University of Technology Business School.  Chief economic advisor to PricewaterhouseCoopers Polska.  Author of 7 books and 160 other scientific publications.

 


Frank Steffen
Senor Director, Europe – Hypo Real Estate Bank International AG
Born in 1969, graduated from Ruhr University Bochum, Germany, started his career at  Deutsche Bank AG, Germany.  Frank has more then 11  years experience in commercial real estate financing.  Before joining the CEE team in September 2004 he was Head of Business Development Europe and Senior Risk Manager for the bank’s US, UK and Asian lending business. Prior to that at Hypo Real Estate Bank International predecessor HVB he was involved in the bank’s commercial real estate lending senior risk management and in structuring closed end real estate funds for HVB’s private clients.


Ferdinand Hlobil
Head of Central European Industrial Team, Cushman & Wakefield
Ferdinand has 13 years experience with C&W, the whole of which time he spent Central Europe.

Ferdinand has also experience with the property management services from his previous job and through his chairmanship in the local residential society.




Vadim O Prozorov
Director of Industrial, Warehouses and Land Department, Knight Frank
Working in Industrial, Warehouses and Land Department of Knight Frank, Vadim is responsible for RE Project management, implementation of large-scale projects, project commercial evaluation. He develops strong business relationships with the leading international and local companies, investment institutes on comprehensive projects in Moscow area and the regions.

Over the past years Vadim gained a good insight into the world of Real Estate Market.
Before joining Knight Frank team, Vadim had worked in the Belaya Dacha Group as Real Estate Business Development Director, where he managed to increase business with such well-known companies as Auchan, Eldorado, made new deals with Liggett Ducat, Ferrero.

Prior to that he worked as Warehousing sales and marketing manager in DCA Logistics. There he gained an in-depth experience on the warehousing Direct Sales. Also Vadim worked as part of Jordache International (NY, USA) team on the position of Regional Development Manager CIS.  In DHL Worldwide Express where Vadim worked from 1994 till 1998, he was responsible for clients’ network development, sales forecasting, and commercial issues.
Vadim received his Master of Arts degree in Moscow State Linguistic University. In 1993 he graduated with honors from Moscow Technical College with Associate Degree in Engineering.


Jolanta Nowakowska-Zimoch
Real Estate Partner, Lovells (Warsaw)
Jolanta specializes in civil law in particular in large real estate transactions and their financing in Poland. She has been an adviser to local and international clients investing in property (acquisition and disposal of sites, preparation of investment processes, negotiating and drafting construction and developer's contracts, and managing property projects). She has experience in negotiating and preparing "triple net lease" agreements and representing the interests of the lessors and the lessees.


Dr. Taras Oksyuk,
Senior Associate, Lovells (Moscow)
is a senior associate who heads the real estate department in Lovells' Moscow office. Taras has extensive experience advising major foreign and Russian clients on a range of real estate transactions including leases of office premises and trade buildings, transactions with shopping malls and land plots, implementation of greenfield and brownfield projects, construction and development projects, and mortgage transactions.
Taras holds Jur.D./Ph.D. with the Moscow State University and teaches civil law at the university's law faculty.



Kenneth Porter BSc, MA, MORS, MILT joined Total Logistics in 1999, having spent over 15 years in logistics consultancy with Deloitte Consulting.  His project experience includes strategic network analysis along with process and operational design.  He has completed projects for clients including Nestlé, Honda, Argos, Pfizer, JDSports, Pfizer and TKMaxx.







Dr Nick Axford, Executive Director
Head of EMEA Research & Consulting
Nick is head of CB Richard Ellis EMEA Research & Consulting department.  His role is to co-ordinate research activities across Europe, the Middle East and Africa to ensure that a full and innovative range of research, analysis and consultancy services is provided for clients of the Company.  CB Richard Ellis has 40 research staff in the UK who work with over 50 specialists in each country across the region, and the team forms part of the CB Richard Ellis Global Research & Consulting Group.

Prior to entering private practice surveying with Gerald Eve in 1990, Nick graduated from Southampton University with an honours degree in Geography and then spent three years researching local economic development and regeneration issues.  His thesis examined the way in which local development processes interact with company location decision-making, for which he was awarded a PhD.  He also has a Diploma in Surveying from the College of Estate Management, Reading.


Jon Sleeman. Partner, King Sturge
Jon Sleeman is a Partner at King Sturge responsible for industrial and distribution research.  He has undertaken research for a number of leading distribution property developers and investors and also consultancy work for occupiers.   His work has involved research into both UK and continental European markets.  Jon has a MSc degree in Logistics and Supply Chain Management from the Cranfield School of Management and is a Member of the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport.





John Harvey, CBE, Chairman of Keswick Enterprises Limited
A UK based active investor in supply chain and forwarding businesses with interests in the Balkans, Ukraine, and Baltic.  Formerly as Chairman of Tibbett & Britten Group plc acquired/developed businesses across Central Europe, four Continents including China and a dozen joint ventures.  Originally Chairman of Unilever’s in-house UK logistics operations and its overseas associates.




Jeremy Davidson, Deputy Manager, NYK Logistics
Jeremy Davidson joined NYK in 1990 at the start of its expansion in Europe. He is Deputy Managing Director of the Logistics Division which now has 900,000 sqm of warehousing in 12 countries with 7,000 employees. Previously he was Group Business Development Director at Christian Salvesen plc.
