Nick Shattock is the Deputy Chief Executive of Quintain Estates & Development Plc, a leading property investment, fund management and development company.  Formed in 1992, Quintain, a FTSE 250 company, has a market cap of c. £800m.

Prior to becoming Deputy Chief Executive in July 2006, Nick headed Quintain’s Special Projects division which manages the Company’s larger assets, releasing value through planning, development or lease restructuring.  Its current regeneration programme comprises one of the largest plc portfolios in the UK, at 27m sq ft, with 23 m sq ft consented.

Projects include the major regeneration opportunities on the Greenwich Peninsula and at Wembley, which alone have a gross development value of £8bln.  At Greenwich Peninsula, planning permission was granted for a £5 billion, 20 year regeneration scheme comprising 14m sq ft, including 10,000 new homes and creating in the region of 24,000 new jobs for the regional economy.

At Wembley, Quintain owns or controls 85 acres of land surrounding the National Stadium.  An outline planning application to deliver a 6.5m sq ft mixed-use scheme (with 4,270 homes) on the first phase of regeneration covering 42 acres, was approved in June 2004, with a further 25 acres still to be consented, but reserved in the Local Plan for up to 2.9m sq ft.

Nick joined Quintain 1995 from the City law firm, SJ Berwin where he was a partner for five years.  He is also the Chairman of Wembley (London) Limited which operates Wembley Arena.

Interests include cricket (MCC), a life long supporter of Chelsea and the Arts.
