Born in 1961, Mike Hughes is a founding Main Board Director of Helios Properties plc, a London based property development company with interests throughout the UK and Eastern Europe. Mike is also a Main Board Director of HelioSlough Ltd.
Responsible for overseeing the Company’s extensive portfolio of commercial and mixed use projects, he has detailed experience in all aspects of major project funding, management, construction, letting and sales.
In addition to his role at Helios, Mike Hughes is Chairman of the Railfreight Interchange Investment Group representing a group of leading UK developers promoting railfreight and railfreight facilities in the UK.
Prior to the formation of Helios, Mike was a senior manager with Hyperion Properties plc, responsible for a number of major development projects in the retail, leisure, industrial and residential sectors working as an investment and development consultant. He was elected to the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors in 1988.
