Chris Holmes is a UK trained Chartered Surveyor (MRICS). Chris has specialised in property investment for over 18 years and he joined HVB in 2003 from Credit Suisse.  Chris pioneered the first capital markets ground lease transaction in Germany in 2006 – a Euro fixed rate, long dated bond issue. He began his investment banking career at CSFB, where he lead managed the first construction wrapped securitisation for Canary Wharf Group Plc. Chris has also been responsible for the arranging of complex sale and leaseback transactions. Notable transactions include Center Parcs UK Sale and Leaseback, and the LBO of Debenhams department stores. He was also part of the original team establishing a CMBS programme for CSFB in Europe.
Prior to banking Chris worked for Richard Ellis (now CBRE) Property Consultants in valuation and investment / development transactions for institutions and property companies. He has a degree in Urban Land Management from the University of Reading.
From 2008 on, he extended his RE responsibility by becoming responsible for UniCredit's wind energy financing team “Breeze”.
