Henk Folmer is Senior Vice President, Customer Development, Europe Region. He works with air and ocean freight forwarders, third-party logistics providers, ground handling companies, cargo airlines and airport and seaport authorities to identify, secure and develop high-speed distribution facilities in Europe.
Prior to joining AMB in 2003, Folmer was a business development manager at the Kuehne & Nagel Group responsible for the development and implementation of new logistics services for airport operators, construction consortia and airport equipment suppliers. During his tenure at Kuehne & Nagel, Folmer covered construction projects and third-party logistics at airports in Europe, Asia, Russia and Latin America. Previously, he was Director of Strategy and Business Development for the Schiphol Group, operator of Amsterdam Airport Schiphol. Folmer worked at Schiphol in various capacities, including advisor to the Board of Management, manager research & product development cargo and marketing manager cargo. He also served as an advisor on major airport and transport infrastructure projects for PricewaterhouseCoopers.
