Roger Hepher
Head of Planning and Regeneration
Savills

Roger is a specialist in planning strategy and in handling the complex inter-relationships involved in major mixed-use development schemes. He has a

wide range of experience in London, the Home Counties and throughout the UK in acting for commercial clients, local authorities and voluntary
organisations. He frequently acts as lead consultant on development teams and is instructed to give expert evidence at public inquiries and other hearings.

Notable projects that Roger has been involved with include securing a series of linked   planning permissions for the redevelopment of 20 hectares of land with a new football
stadium for Arsenal Football Club (the Emirates Stadium), together with 2,700 homes, 25,000sq m of retail/leisure/business space and a sub-regional waste transfer station. He has also played a leading role in securing a CPO and defeating legal challenges.

In Milton Keynes, Roger secured planning permission for a 30,000 seat football stadium and major retail enabling development, and is now seeking permission for further
enabling development. Nearby, in Bletchley town centre, he is handling a large-scale leisure/residential development scheme in the town centre.

In Barking town centre, he is engaged on the award-winning Town Square regeneration scheme, which involves large scale residential and retail/commercial space in the heart of the town centre.

In Sittingbourne, Kent, he is masterplanning the redevelopment of an extensive area to the north of the town centre, with an extension to the town centre and a large scale residential/mixed use development.

In Brentford, West London, he is advising ISIS Waterside Regeneration on their ambitious plans to comprehensively redevelop canalside land close to Brentford town centre.

Roger co-founded Hepher Dixon in 1995 and quickly established its reputation for outstanding and commercially focused client service, with a track record of delivering
success. Combining Hepher Dixon with Savills' existing planning team in early 2007 has created one of the largest and most capable planning consultancy practices in the UK.
